PM Kisan Installment 2026: Friends, as the new year begins, so do new hopes. This time is especially crucial for the farmers of our country, as preparations for farming, expenses, and weather conditions are all decided at this time.
In this context, the news emerging about the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana can bring smiles to the faces of millions of farmers.
First Installment Expected in February

At the beginning of 2026, the central government is preparing to provide significant relief to farmers. According to reports, the next, i.e., the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme, may be released in February. The previous installment was sent to farmers’ accounts in November, and preparations for the next installment have been underway since then. Under this scheme, farmers receive a total of Rs. 6,000 annually, which is directly deposited into their bank accounts. This amount may seem small, but it provides considerable support for seeds, fertilizers, and daily needs.
Second Installment to Provide Support Before Kharif Season
After February, the next installment is likely to arrive in June or July. This is the beginning of the Kharif season, when the most labour and expenses are incurred in the fields. At this time, this amount, directly deposited into their accounts, will enable farmers to purchase seeds, fertilisers, and other essential supplies. The government aims to ensure that the money reaches them on time so that farmers do not have to resort to loans or borrowing.
Third Installment Before Rabi Season and Festivals
The third installment is expected to be released in October or November. This is the time for preparing for the Rabi crop and the festive season, when household expenses also increase. At such a time, this financial assistance proves to be a great relief for farmers. This assistance, received three times a year, helps in balancing both farming and family expenses.
e-KYC and Document Verification are Essential
To avail of the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme, it is essential to fulfil certain conditions. The installment may be withheld if the e-KYC process is not completed. Having a bank account linked to Aadhaar is mandatory, and land records must also be accurate. The government has clearly stated that farmers whose documents are incomplete will not receive the installment payment.
- Money will not be transferred to the accounts of farmers whose e-KYC is not complete.
- It is mandatory that the land records and the information registered on the PM Kisan portal match.
Even a slight discrepancy between the land records and the information on the portal can lead to the removal of the name from the beneficiary list. Therefore, it is advisable to update the information through the nearest service centre or mobile app promptly.
Government’s Intent and Farmers’ Expectations

The central government’s objective is clear: to ensure that assistance reaches farmers without any hindrance. The system of direct bank transfers has increased transparency and eliminated the role of intermediaries. This installment, expected in early 2026, can once again reassure farmers that the government stands with them.
